Finally, it is very important to improve and develop
In the 4th module, I can read a very important sentence:
About Global Women's Football Academies.
"FIFA is suggesting that football should be promoted in schools, and coaches need to be developed and mentored at the same time."
WHY?
Everybody has strengths and weaknesses, and more. People can be analysed using the SWOT also.
Why SWOT and not some other Psychological models? Still nowadays a lot of people are afraied from Psychology. As they can be vulnerable, but not every model is about to make you a puppy....
What is SWOT, and how can SWOT help you to see yourself from a different viewpoint, so that it would be easier to collaborate in the development process?
What does Google AI say about SWOT?
(f.eks. nye markeder, ændrede forbrugervaner, ny teknologi)?
- Threats (Trusler - Eksternt): Hvilke ydre faktorer udgør en risiko? (f.eks.
- Strengths: Identify what you excel at compared to other coaches.
- Examples: High player retention rates, deep tactical knowledge, or a strong reputation for developing youth talent.
- Weaknesses: Be honest about areas needing improvement without being overly negative.
- Examples: Poor time management, limited experience in a specific coaching niche, or a tendency to micromanage.
- Opportunities: Find external factors you can exploit for growth.
- Examples: A growing demand for specialized coaching (e.g., mental performance), new technology like AI performance tracking, or local leadership development programs.
- Threats: Identify obstacles that could hinder your career.
- Examples: Changing industry regulations, increased competition from highly certified coaches, or economic downturns affecting club budgets.
- Leverage Strengths: How can you use your top skills to reach a new goal?.
- Mitigate Weaknesses: Could you invest in training or find a mentor to address a gap?.
- Capture Opportunities: What specific actions will let you capitalize on a new trend?.
- Counter Threats: What strategy will minimize the impact of external risks?.
- Use Feedback: Ask colleagues, players, or mentors for their perspective to get a more objective 360-degree view.
- Revisit Periodically: A SWOT analysis should be a "living framework." Perform it at the start, middle, and end of a season to track your progression.
- Integrate with Other Models: Pair SWOT with the GROW Model (Goal, Reality, Options, Will) to structure your development sessions.
